I am back

I have been disappeared for more than 20 days. In those 20 days, I enjoyed my life and found differences, shortages, even problems of mine, and I know, sometimes everything is difficult to be improved, or changed, but I still believe that I will be better than before.

Today, I received a letter from Western Oregon University. It is the scholarship awarded letter. Congratulations to myself. I did it.

Student card and book

Today, I went to WOU to submit scholarship application form with recommendation letters. In order to obtain scholarship, I will try my best in graduate studies. I know, it will be diffcult, but I will try my best to study.

I registered student card in a center, but I cannt remember its name. LOL. Then I borrowed a book for Mrs Hughes classes: Language Development: a reader for teachers. I will read this book in the holiday, and take reading notes as much as I can.

I will re-write everything for scholarship application.

After A Speech

I just watched a speech from Lao Luo.

Lao Luo, who is a chinese male in 30s, became a famous English teacher in China in 2005 because of his special expressions in classes. His classes have been loved by many Chinese students because extensive extended information will be offered in his classes. It is like talk show in USA, but there will be more comments for fun instead of other purpose.

In 2006, he left the biggest and most famous company, New Oriental, and founded a website for blogs. 2 years past, because of politic reasons, his website has been forced closed for more than 4 times. Then, he founded a educational company named Lao Luo English Trainning.

This speech is about how does he carve this company out.

When I was watching it, I felt excited and powful. His story is about a poor guy who hated English before and after studying 12-15 month, he became a GRE teacher.

I will not forget this sentence from this speech.

Dream may not be touched all the time, but after you look forward, go straight.

Register day and Choosing classes

This afternoon, I drove to WOU to finish the appointment with Marie who is the coordinator of my program. It was really a nice talk with her and I decided to take more level-600 classes in WOU. I know, it is going to be a big challenge for me, a absolutely freshman in graduate study, but I will try. I believe that my adage "working hard, playing harder" works well. As my decision, I am going to buy books for Language Development and Reading as soon as possible.

By I was young, I always have confidence to do everything include I have never done before, but now, I hate to fail and I dont want to be a loser in the graduate study. Since I came to Chemeketa, I became a positive student who uses appointments and extra materials. These experiences have caused me to build a new system of studying up:

Independent study----discover questions and problems----make appointment with teachers for help----get feedback and review questions one more or several more times----new questions----appointment with teacher----independent study

I will follow these steps in WOU and do something new, especially ask teachers and classmates how to study in USA.

Today, I mailed to 3 professors who will be my teacher in the future. Chole responsed me as she received it. She is very nice. To my surprise, she wrote Ni Hao to me!!! I love her humor and passions.

Today is a big day, it means I should start studying for my program. Hills and oceans will not block me from success: Learning something from my cute and passion professors, scoring higher in the test, GRE and TOEFL iBT preparation.

The admission letter. I had been waiting for this letter for 20 days. Eventually, I received it.

Congratulations to myself

Yesterday at 1:30 pm, when I was driving on the I5 to Corvallis, I received a call from international admission of WOU, but I missed it. Then I took exit 244 and parked car beside the road, and then contacted them back. A sweet female voice told me that the admission letter has been ready to pick up, and then I turned around the car, and drove back as soon as possible with excited. This is the first full admission I have ever received from American universities. It means I am going to enroll Master`s program next year at Jan. 3rd!

I will be WOU at next Monday to communicate with Marie, the coordinator of  my program.

I am a graduate student already!
